London pubs and bars at night

You can find a lot of happening late night partying hot spots in London now that the licensing laws have become flexible in London. The opening timings beyond the traditional 11 pm to 5 am and the provision to serve food and offer entertainment has made local pubs and bars to have some liberty even though it varies from venue to venue.

Opening Hours and Admission
The pubs and bars we have mentioned here are until at least midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, with a lot of them open until 3 am or later. It is advisable to double check times with the place before you head out all set to party all night long!

Keep in mind that most places will charge admission after a certain time (usually about 10pm). So it is better to get there early to get in free and also times and prices vary. Check before you get dressed and move out.

Babalou
Babalou is the fine setting and ambience at vault of St Matthew's Church in Brixton. It gets even livelier at the weekend. All through the summer you'll get to see people moving out onto the streets, get pleasure from an alfresco drinking experience on the fabulous Old Compton Street. Bartok

Jewel
Jewel is for the people who appreciate a bit of sparkle and shine. This is the spot for extravagant decor, well-designed and very girly. The precious gem theme influences even the cocktails. You should give the Emerald a sip it is Smirnoff Blue, apple schnapps and fresh kiwi fruit, finished with a slice of kiwi and wow it tastes good or the Ruby which includes Absolut Kurrant, strawberry liqueur and cranberry juice with a rose petal. Lost Society
Formerly the Tea Room des Artistes, Lost society is an incredible new joint at Clapham. The location is in a 16th century barn, the interiors are decorated in a plentiful art deco style. Beautiful chandeliers and also mirrors with flock wallpaper to give it an impression of self-indulgence. You will also have a "secret" garden which is ultimate for secluded drinking on sultry summer nights. Matt & Matt

You will feel like enjoying your holiday in this beach-style bar, sweets-flavoured vodkas are the speciality of the house. Try out the Jelly Babies which can be so much fun. You will enjoy and cool off by the stress free and welcoming gesture. Have fun with table football, pinball and open DJ nights which will keep you coming back.

Sosho
Short for South Shoreditch, sosho offers a mean cocktail menu. Not surprising really, as it's part of the Match chain. How would you like a grapefruit julep ( Wyborowa vodka shaken with grapefruit, lime and pomegranate juices and a drizzle of honey syrup.) It definitely sounds tempting to us. Don't worry if it's a Sunday; you can still look forward to the changing art installations and club nights.

The Couch
The main attractions to this popular Soho joint show off the biggest windows on Dean Street. It is perfect for chilling out with a pint and staring at the crowd go by outside. The menu goes through changes in The Couch every single week but to give you a general idea, the last time we visited and were served char grilled king prawns with couscous and sweet chilli along with chicken breast with cream cheese and asparagus were all the top list on the menu. The Couch has just one and only sofa so be there early to cool your heels.

The Cow Dining Room
The Cow Dining Room provides as another of the founders of gastro pub food is Notting Hill's. Mr Tom Conran is the owner and his son of Terence, Oysters and Guinness are the things to look forward to here. Decide from Irish Rocks or Wild Falmouth Bay Natives. The menu is ruled by seafood which features almost on the pub's philosophy which is "eat heartily and give the house a good name." We know for sure that can be managed.

Duke of Cambridge
Yes this is the joint that has been voted the second best bar in this year's Observer Food Magazine Awards, the Duke of Cambridge takes satisfaction in itself on its organic, well-sourced charges. Look forward to the seasonal menu of wholesome British food which is changed twice daily. You will find that all the real ales are local brews and the wine list is made up of 40 bins, which are all organic as well.

The Eagle
People say that The Eagle is a place for the birth of first evolved gastro pub revolution in Farringdon watering hole. Then you will like the menu as it is not complicated and is still delicious. The food is a combination of Mediterranean and wholesome British and the varied wine list is fairly priced. The owners are even attributed with starting the bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil trend that you'll find today in many a gastro pub. Try not to ask for any salad cream.

The Garrison
The Garrison offers a few rare choices such as a downstairs cinema room that can be hired for private dos. One can have the menu which includes fancy options such as foie gras and chicken liver parfait, and roast guinea fowl with sauce poivrade.
